    I agree with most of the content above but I don’t think having less will earn you more. Highest bidder appear at the top ad block in HTML ( not in layout ) so the top ad block is theme dependent.Here is my article further explaining it How to place Adsense code.I know I have told to get rid of blocks in that as well , but after experimenting I think its not too many blocks ( you can have only 3 anyway ) its how you place your blocks. Another tip could be to track your blocks performance through channels.You can check my article about Adsense channels
