Yesterday I received an error message – “Blog Server Error – Server Error 32700 Occured parse error. not well formed” from Windows Live Writer while I was uploading an entry to my WordPress draft.

What is Blog Server Error – Server Error 32700

This error can be easily occurred by WordPress users who are using Windows Live Writer as offline blogging client. Technically speaking, it is a spam injection that trying to hijack your WordPress installation. Some WordPress files’ codes were modified by spammers.


To solve this problem, you should replace the infected files with original WordPress files (same version). The possible infected files are:

  • xmlrpc.php
  • wp-admin/admin.php
  • wp-admin/index.php
  • wp-includes/wp-db.php
  • wp-includes/pluggable.php
  • wp-includes/gettext.php
  • wp-includes/default-filters.php
  • I have successfully recovered my WordPress installation after replaces the files above. Everything in Windows Live Writer is back to normal.
