I just finished a SEO quiz in http://www.seomoz.org/seo-expert-quiz. It was a looooooong quiz and  been taken 30 minutes to finish it!! This is my score - 189/255 points (75%).

SEO Professional - 75% (They even provided an image for my score.)

I am happy with my result since I just started to deal with SEO for few months. (Not an excuse!) I think I have more to learn and study for SEO. Long path to go… long path…

This is definitely another “milestone” for k-director.com after my last terrible traffic decrement.
The last time I checked my Google pagerank, I already found out k-director.com got PR0. However I was too naive thought that Google is updating pagerank.

After a few days I check back Google PR, I reliased it’s still PR0.

So, the truth is K-DIRECTOR DOT COME GOT PAGERANK 0!

I have been reading through some articles online about Google PR0 penalty to understand why I got this suddenly.
As a result, these are possible factors I found:
1. Backward link calculations are running.
2. Google are testing some spam filter.
3. Lack of inbound links with an sufficiently high PageRank.
4. The Combination of PageRank and BadRank to PR0.
5. Linking from my site to too many PR0 pages.

Therefore now, I need to see what I can do to fix this shit problem. As you see, there is no more top commentor category in my side bar because of the 5th factor I mentioned above.
So far, this was what I have done. Feel tired to fix it.

Whatever it gonna be, I will still remember this, “people first, Google second“!

According to ConnectedInternet, Google is updating their Page Ranks this weekend.

This is kind of an exciting news for all bloggers and webmasters. To know whether your site’s PR increases or not, we will know the answer very soon.

After 3 months’ efforts, I hope k-director.com can improve its current PR to at least PR 4. I have done a lot to build the links, write original and good content, communicate with other same niche sites, write guest blog for other famous blogs, leave comment frequently, on site and off site link building and etc etc etc. So, let’s see the result in next few days.

Here are some tips you can count on.

Tip 1 - Select A Good Niche
Select a good niche you’re passionate with, and of course it’s better to have experience on what you’re going to show and talk about. A website doesn’t mean you must make it as a blog. There are many CMS(Content Management System) free engines can help you to create forum, online database and e-commerce site easily. If you purchase your webhosting with cpanel support, you can even install these CMS engines through your fantastico within 5 minutes.

Tip 2 - Get A KEYWORD-RICH Domain Name
After you have decided your website’s niche, you should start to think for a good domain name. Choosing the right domain could BOOST your search engine rankings. Tip 3 - Get A Webhosting
If you’re Malaysian, I would like to suggest you to get a local webhosting plan instead of foreign webhosting plan. The reason is simple - stupid Streamyx “lets” you load the local sites and servers much more faster than foreign sites and servers.

Tip 4 - Installation
Select the most appropriate softwares in fantastico and install it.
If you’re going to start a blog, WordPress is the one you shall install it. Then, you can select thousand of free WordPress themes and install free WordPress plugins to enhance your blog.

Here’s some SEO techniques for blogging.

A synopsis of Onpage optimisation techniques(SEO techniques include Onpage optimisation techniques and Offpage optimisation techniques.) is listed below:

1. Title - A good title makes Googlebot understand your site quickly.

2. Meta keyword - Keyword(s) that you want to emphasize in your blog.

3. Meta description - Sprinkle your key words in description, meta description should be precise and clear, this will be stated beneath your title in SERP.

4. Place your keywords in Header tags(H1,H2, H3,H4)

5. Put keywords in the first sentence - The first 20 words in your article are important.

6. Place your keywords in the post name - That’s why your permalink structure should be in short and clear.

7. Add keywords to Alt tags of images - Put a description for your images. Google crawls images too.

8. Add keywords to tilte attributes

9. Keywords in the anchor text to internal pages - Always link back your previous post.

10. Keywords in the internal link can go the home page - Link back to you homepage too.

11. Reduce the loading time of your webpage - Images, javascript, flash and etc.

12. Keep the keyword density between 3 and 7 percentage

13. Don’t be a content copycat - Googlebot hates to crawl the same content in different sites.

According to JohnChow’s free e-book, the best structures for a URL are Date and Name based or a custom /%postname%/ because they are the most search engine friendly.

I previously set my permalink structure as /%archive%/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/ which was a bit too long for most search engines. It also caused Google couldn’t figure out what my article is about immediately.
So if you are doing the same with what I did, it’s still not too late to change it now.

This plugin works for search engines, bookmarks, and links from other sites.
I have installed this plugin for few days, let’s see will it make any change for www.k-director.com or not.

By the way, cypherhackz.net introduced another useful wordpress plugin to redirect your website from non to www prefix.
