Here’s the step-by-step tutorial to create virtual Wi-Fi hotspot right in Windows 7.

1. Right-click the Network icon on your desktop, then click on "Properties" to access "Network and Sharing Centre" page.
2. On the left option bar, click on "Set up a connection or network".
3. A connection option will be promp up. Select "Set up a wireless ad hoc (computer-to-computer) network".
4. Enter your network a name and choose some security options.
5. Once your ad hoc networks is in the wireless network list, go to "Network and Sharing Centre", click the "Change adapter settings" link on the left.
6. Select your network connection from the list and enable the Internet connection sharing.
