I have to admit that I am a huge fan of Mozilla Firefox browser. Mozilla Firefox browser has been set as my default browser regardless at home or work. Thus, it’s common that I save all my bookmarks, passwords, shortcuts and a lot of history junks in my Firefox browser.

It’s actually kind of risky if my harddisk is crashed and I might not able to access all my customized settings anymore. So if you depend a lot on Firefox browser like me, I would like to urge you to backup your Mozilla Firefox settings on Web or alternative drive.

Here’s 5 simple steps to backup and restore your Mozilla Firefox settings in your profile.

5 Steps To Backup and Restore Mozilla Firefox Profile

  1. Search your Mozilla Firefox profile in your computer.
    C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\XXXXXXXX.default
(User name and XXXXXXXX are subjects to change based on individual computer)
  2. Copy the entire folder and save it on Web or alternative drive.
  3. To restore back, browse C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\XXXXXXXX.default in your hard drive.
