Looking for “Save and Quit” function when closing a window with multiple tabs in Firefox 4?

There’ were some changes for some of the warning messages in Firefox 4 and it doesn’t allow users to modify these changes in “Tools – Options”. However, you’re still able to set this hidden pref to what you want – A Warning When Closing Multiple Tabs with following steps.

  1. Go to the location bar (URL address bar), type about:config and press enter.

    about-config

  2. Click on “I’ll be careful, I promise!” to proceed.

  3. Type browser.showQuitWarning in the Filter bar at the top.
    showquitwarning-false

  4. Set the default value “False” to “True” by double clicking that pref.
     showquitwarning-true

  5. Restart Firefox.

If you just want to restore previous closed sessions whenever you run Firefox 4 without any hassle, just go to “Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time".
