Previously I mentioned how to remove ads in Yahoo Messenger and received quite a number of emails to ask me how to apply the same thing on Windows Live Messenger or MSN. Thus, I am writing this in replying your request. 
The ad banner of Windows Live Messenger or MSN is even more annoying if compare to ad in Yahoo Messenger. An accidentally mouse over will always enlarge the banner.
In order to get rid of ad banner from Windows Live Messenger or MSN, try Live Advert Remover.
Live Advert Remover is a patch that blocks all advertisement banners from being displayed in Windows Live Messenger or MSN. All you need to do is just download it and run it only once to update your system.
Just do it once then advertisement banners in Windows Live Messenger or MSN will not be displayed in your computer anymore.

if you’re asking did you try the A-Patch?
I’d say yes but too much crap is installed. So this is a great alternative.
