Here’s the steps on how to run this program:

4 . If there’s a shortcut for inserting this particular symbol, you can find it at the right bottom of the program. For example, Keystroke: Alt+0176 means Press and hold the alternative button on your keyboard, then press 0, 1, 7, 6. After you release the alternative button, the symbol will be inserted in your text field.

It also depends on where you want to insert your symbols into, say in MS Word or other softwares. If in Words, you can just go to Insert Symbol option.

Sometimes, it’s a shame as for some softwares, even if you’ve found the correct symbol from the Character Map or you’ve pressed the correct key combination short cut, the text that appears may just be some rectangular shape thingy.

Under the Character Map tool, if you have the Advanced option selected, you can search for what symbols you want. Well, I am not a symbols guru to tell you what are the names of all the symbols that you can find in your computer, but for example, if you type “Degree” in the Search field, it’ll just show you that symbol. Do note that this may not work for all fonts (eg Symbol). Try it with, say, Century Gothic, and you will see what I mean.

    Adios!
