WordPress 2.6 has been released 1 month earlier than its schedule. I spent 5 minutes to upgrade this site from WP 2.5.1 to 2.6 with the WordPress Automatic Update plugin. If you’re having a WordPress blog, I recommend you to try this plugin out.
Back to WordPress 2.6. Some interesting features have been included in WP 2.6 and I think it’s worth to have a mention.
Theme Previews
Template changes can never be so easy. WP 2.6 makes your templates or entries reflects immediately on your site, with no need for regenerating static pages.
Word Count
Remind me of the my degree thesis.WP 2.6 now counts the words for us.
Image captions
A small caption will be placed underneath an embedded images.
I know video talks louder than words. This video will explain some of the new features better.
One more thing, I upgrade my WordPress blog for the sake of security issue too.
