Over 1.9 million votes were cast to select these Webware 100 winners.
Voting Summary
- Maxthon won the most votes in Browsing category.
- Gaia’s 136,000 votes got the most votes in Social category.
- Top 10 vote-getters are Facebook, Firefox, Google, iTunes, MySpace, YouTube, DeviantArt, Friendster, Gaia Online, and Maxthon.

I used the Maxthon browser once up to until I tried Mozilla Firefox. It was good but probably has some issues which I can't recall. Beats me to why it is popular at Cnet. Research shows that Mozilla Firefox is one or the most popular browser.

The voting results are actually not that convincing. I am using Mozilla Firefox too.
